Confessions of a Shopaholic

I am a confess shopaholic. Just like the star in the movie Rebecca Bloomwood (Isla Fisher) i get a different high whenever i buy something for myself may it be a bag or just little things like a powder or a handkerchief. After buying i feel alive and happy. It's my one way of dealing with stress in work and in life. For this, my credit card has reached its maximum credit limit. Up to now i'm still paying for it. So, I have to control myself of using it. What i do, i left my credit card at home. When you are used to buying something, you will be depressed when it has to stop. That's what happened to me. I was depressed. I felt sad. But as time passes by, you get use to it. It's just a matter of discipline. Right now, i can control my urge of shopping. And I'm sill controlling it up to now. It's hard believe me but i have to stay in control. I got a headache because of my debts. It's a big lesson for me.

The movie is not that fantastic for me as a whole. But it gives a good lesson for every shopaholic ladies out there.

Here's the synopsis:

Based on the books "Confessions of a Shopaholic" and "Shopaholic Takes Manhattan" by Sophie Kinsella. Rebecca Bloomwood (Isla Fisher) is a 25 year old who lives with her best friend Suze (Krysten Ritter) in Suze's flat (paying her friend rent that is well below market value), in a trendy part of town. Rebecca has a very boring job writing for a financial magazine. She has a shopping addiction and her crap job doesn't pay enough. Her bills are piling up, so she tries cutting back (complete fiasco), then she tries making more money (another fiasco). Eventually, Becky discovers a story that she is truly invested in. Exposing the story gets the attention of a colleague that she hasn't quite figured out yet. Some drama ensues as she snags the guy, and she attempts to pay off her ever-growing debt.
